Caring for your new Wood Blinds
As with any piece of fine furniture, regular dusting is recommended as the
primary component of your cleaning program. This can be done with an ordinary
soft, clean cloth, specially treated anti-static dusting cloths and dusting
mitts, cylindrical dust brushes especially designed for blinds or by light
vacuuming with a dusting brush attachment.
Because your new blind is made of natural wood products, washing the blind or
using strong cleansing agents on the wood surfaces is not recommended. We do not
recommend ultrasonic cleaning for real wood blinds and shutters.
The surface of the slats and louvers is smooth and dust is easily brushed off,
when done at regular intervals.
For more seriously soiled surfaces, wipe with a clean damp cloth on painted
surfaces and furniture polish on wood stain finishes.
Warranty
Summer Snow Signature Series Blinds
Summer Snow Finishings Limited warrants that your new
wood blinds will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for as long
as the original retail purchaser owns the product, provided that they were properly
installed in a residential dwelling.
The obligation of Summer Snow Finishings is limited to
the repair or replacement of the blind or components found to be defective and
excludes shipping charges and costs of removal and reinstallation. Repairs will
be made with like or similar parts.
This warranty does not cover any conditions or damages
resulting from accidents, alterations, misuse, abuse, exposure to the elements,
excessive humidity, fading or discoloration over time, or failure to follow our
instructions with respect to measurement, installation, cleaning or maintenance.
This warranty also does not cover any condition or damage resulting from removal
of the product or reinstallation in another window or application.
This warranty does not apply to conditions caused by
normal wear and tear upon the product. All cords will eventually wear out. This
is considered to be normal wear and tear and not covered by this warranty.
